wayfinding system
wayfinding system
Implementation of signage and creation of an architectural identity for parking facilities. Beyond functional orientation, our approach aims to establish a unique contextual identity for each site. We develop a narrative theme specific to each location, resonating with its context or architecture. Thus, we transform the space into a gallery of typographic characters, paying homage to Place Gutenberg above the parking.

Situated beneath Place Gutenberg, the parking facility pays tribute to the creator of the movable type printing system. While the orientation system serves a functional purpose, it also carries a narrative. Once parked, the driver discovers the story behind the unique font used to indicate their parking space, including the creator's name and the foundry that commercialized it. Each floor houses a different era. Level -3 is dedicated to typefaces invented by Gutenberg, with contemporary creators contributing specially designed fonts for the project. From the 16th to the 18th century, the parking facility becomes a true historical gallery of the art of creating and assembling characters. Level -2 pays homage to compositions from the 19th and 20th centuries. Finally, Level -1 is the result of a rich collaboration.

In each location, we strive to inject a research element into the urban transformation of urban spaces. How to transform mono-functional infrastructures in the face of the challenges posed by climate transformation of uses? How to transform the role of parking in a sustainable city? Beyond orientation, a new dimension is given to spatial experience by thematic elements in each parking facility. These versatile spaces integrate cultural exhibitions, educational areas, and artistic installations, creating profound connections between the urban and the cultural. The contextual approach selects topics in harmony with the environment, inviting the public to engage and imagine new possibilities. A continuous commitment to reintegrate humanity into the heart of the city.

Involved in educational projects with international partnerships encompassing over thirty schools, Civic City explores the captivating concept of 'non-knowledge.' Convinced that the dialogue between art, design, science, and society opens new horizons, the association questions traditional methods of knowledge transmission. As a Civic City participant, I led workshops with schools and propose this visual identity for the final exhibition.

chromatic parking

wayfinding system
wayfinding system
Setting up signage and shaping an architectural identity for parking. Beyond functional orientation, our approach aims for a unique identity at each site. Each location has a specific theme that resonates with its context. In a dark brutalist architectural complex, restoration creates spaces for light, embracing its spectrum and color. The space transforms into a color gallery, honoring Goethe and his color theories.

Like a prism diffracting light, this parking lot has been transformed, lightened, reimagined to celebrate the beauty of colors and light. Every architectural element has been carefully designed, from beams to the vegetated facade. Each object has become a visual spectacle, where orange, blue, red, green, indigo, and yellow intertwine in a chromatic palette evoking the decomposition of white light, a theory dear to Isaac Newton.

The floors serve as an entryway to an educational circuit consisting of explanatory panels and concrete examples in iconographic form to learn more about color, its theories, languages, images, perceptions, and challenges. While maintaining its primary function as a parking space, this area also leaves room for discovery.

In each location, we strive to inject a research element into the urban transformation of urban spaces. How to transform monofunctional infrastructures in the face of the challenges that climate change will impose on usage transformation? How to transform the role of parking in a sustainable city? Beyond orientation, a new dimension is given to spatial experience by thematizing each parking lot. These versatile places integrate cultural exhibitions, educational spaces, and artistic installations, creating deep connections between the urban and the cultural. Have you ever heard the sound of Italy? It's as generous as fresh pasta. This restaurant, focusing solely on the gastronomy of the peninsula, doesn't take the concept of joy lightly. It's not an empty promise, but a way of life

«écouter Parler» is a mobile archiving system for French vernacular languages, led by a team of CNRS researchers. The project aims to traverse territories in search of linguistic authenticity. Our approach involved creating visual tools conveying the same vernacular message. Through expressive typography, this tone carries a direct and sympathetic vocabulary that strongly echoes the voices no longer heard.

cartographic parking

Implementation of signage and creation of an architectural identity for a series of parking facilities. Beyond functional orientation, our approach aims to establish a unique contextual identity for each parking facility. We develop a specific narrative theme for each location, resonating with its context or architecture. Here, we transformed the space into an authentic European cartographic gallery to pay tribute to the neighborhood of the EU Parliament where the parking is located. Situated at the foot of the European Parliament, the Europe Wacken parking stands as a true homage to the cartographic richness of Europe. It celebrates the map as a tool and object of fascination, guiding us through the world, providing orientation, and evoking wonder. With this parking project, we embark on a genuine journey through European time and space. The walls of this location are transformed into a cartographic art gallery, where maps from all eras and places interlace in vibrant displays, differentiating floors with various geographical features such as ports, forests, mountains, and capitals. The arrangement of this collection invites us to experience parking on a completely different scale, with striking harmony. This skillful fusion of technicality and art transforms each floor into a captivating visual experience. In each location, we strive to infuse a research element into the urban transformation of city spaces. How to transform mono-functional infrastructures in the face of usage transformation challenges posed by climate change? How to redefine the role of parking in a sustainable city? Beyond orientation, a new dimension is added to spatial experience by thematicizing each parking facility. These versatile spaces incorporate cultural exhibitions, educational areas, and artistic installations, creating deep connections between urban and cultural realms. The contextual approach selects subjects in harmony with the environment, encouraging the public to engage and envision new possibilities. A continuous commitment to reintegrate humanity into the heart of the city.
